BBC reports on the importance of the AMBER project in Wales

Rivers in Wales serve as an important place for recreation and value. However, an estimated 2,500 man-made barriers fragment the rivers in Wales and negatively affect 32 species of fish! In the video below, our very own, Dr. Josh Jones, explains the importance of prioritizing work to mitigate the huge impacts barriers have on rivers. We are excited to be working in Wales and helping to find adaptive barrier management strategies for both the survival of the important fish species and for everyone to enjoy wild rivers.
