The Spanish Launch Event of the European Project AMBER was held in the Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo the 30th November 2016 with the following representatives of the Project: University of Oviedo, World Fish Migration Foundation and AEMS-Ríos con Vida. During the AMBER Launch event workshop the objectives of the Project were presented and all the attendees were invited to collaborate in order to achieve them. In order to improve the communication between the speakers and the attendees a round table was done a DAFO analysis about the Spanish river connectivity situation with the contribution of different involved agents from the Spanish geography: researchers, autonomous Communities, River basin staff, NGOs, etc. The impression of the organizer team was that AMBER Project attract a lot of interest and there is very good predisposition to collaborate in the achievement of the AMBER objectives. In fact, in the analysis of the situation of connectivity at national level, one of the key aspects identified as the main weakness was the low social demand for solutions to this problem and it is here where AMBER has a lot of work to do.
