Following on from AMBER’s 2020 publication in Nature (More than one million barriers fragment Europe’s rivers, Belletti et al), the project was invited to participate in a new Nature Awards project Science in Shorts. 

Science in Shorts is a new, informal science communication challenge that aims to share cutting edge science with a wider audience through 60 second videos that explain research in easily understood terms, therefore making it as creative and accessible as possible.

Nature and their colleagues at Scientific American will publish selected videos on their platform, and AMBER’s submission, Who Gives a Dam?, is one of the recommended videos in Nature’s “Science in Shorts” playlist for 2022!
