AMBER (Adaptive Management of Barriers in European Rivers) is a research project with a budget of €6.2 million euro, funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme.
The AMBER project, started on the 1st of June 2016 and ending on the 31st of May 2020, seeks to apply adaptive management to the operation of dams and barriers in European rivers to achieve a more efficient restoration of stream connectivity, and address impacts caused by river fragmentation.
