6th Symposium of the International Society for River Science (ISRS)
September 8, 2018 - September 13, 2018
The International Society for River Science (ISRS) and the Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management (IHG) of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) are pleased to invite you to Vienna for the 6th Symposium of the ISRS in cooperation with the International Association for Danube Research (IAD), the I.S. Rivers conference (Integrative sciences and sustainable development of rivers) and the International Conference on the Status and Future of the World‘s Large Rivers.
The conference will take place from the 8th to the 13th of September 2019 at the BOKU University Vienna. The University has a long tradition in the field of aquatic research. The IHG was founded more than 30 years ago and focuses on applied aquatic ecology, especially in the field of river ecology and management.
The upcoming symposium will address fundamental and applied topics in the field of riverine research and seeks to promote an intensive exchange between science and practice. The motto of the conference will be “Riverine landscapes as socio-ecological systems“, which reflects this dialogue.
The conference thus offers a particularly broad platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Even if the event lies quite far ahead, we would like to draw your attention to the conference at an early stage, so that you can get involved and keep informed for further announcements.
Further information can be found on our conference website http://isrs2019.info/, which will constantly be updated. There you can now also register session proposals via an online form.
